A-Wing Animated in Procedurally Generated Backdrop (Pre-UAL)

A-Wing Animated in Procedurally Generated Backdrop (Pre-UAL)

Final Edit (WITH SOUND)
Mountain Cam (40 Frames)
Wing Cam (170 frames)
Engine Cam (26 Frames)

My most ambitious 3d project as of yet. It takes place within a 500×500 cubic metre box, that acts as the backdrop of the video. The mountain ranges and the reflective water surface were procedurally made with all the nodes you see above (ColourRamps, Normal Mapping/mixers etc.) after I created the general look of them using various displacement nodes. I then parented/positioned a camera onto various locations of the setting, such as the wing of the craft, the mountains and the engines. I don’t have the best graphics card nor the best PC, but after three days and nights of continuous rendering, it was finally done. The frames were put together in the Blender Video editor, where the sound was also added.
